This weekend was Seafair here in Seattle! Large battle ships docked at the ports, Seattle was flooded with sailors from the Navy in their white uniforms, hundreds of boats took over the lakes and the Sound, and the festival began! Hydroplane races, Blue Angels and airplane shows, and battleship tours are just a few things that took place this weekend. Luckily, my parents were in town! I am so glad they were here to experience this Seattle tradition.
The weekend also included mass amount of seafood, a picnic at Gas Works Park, several pints of ice cream, too many wine tastings, and so many laughs. I love living in this pretty city, but the hardest part is only seeing my family a couple times a year. But the plus side - showing our loved ones why we love Seattle so much!
