A few weeks ago, I met up with my friend, makeup artist, and fellow Seattleite LiSun for a YUMI lash lift. I have been hearing quite a bit about these lifts as a way to make your lashes pop without taking the leap to extensions. After chatting with LiSun for a bit about it, I was sold on the lift!
The YUMI lash lift is basically a perm for your lashes. That means - no more curling!! And the best part?! The lift lasts up to three months as opposed to lash extensions which last up to 3 weeks!
LiSun started the process by picking out a curl size based on the length of my lashes and applying solutions to perm the lashes. Once the solution was removed, she applied a black/blue tint to my lashes. This gives my natural lashes a deeper tone and makes them look like I have mascara on when I wake up in the morning. (I woke up like this ;)
I have tried lash extensions, and while I really loved them, they required quite a bit of maintenance; on a busy schedule and a tight budget, they can be hard to keep up with. This lash lift is a similar cost to a full set of lash extensions, but lasts 4 times longer than lash extensions! Count me in! I used to curl my lashes every morning, and by the afternoon the curl was gone. With this lash lift, I can skip the curling in the morning and my lashes are photo-ready 24/7.
