Weekdays are the best time to visit the market to avoid heavy tourist traffic. However, no matter what time of the week you visit the market, make sure to get as much fresh fruit as you can handle. You won’t regret it!
The most lovely brunch experience I’ve had yet! A slightly long wait for a table can be countered by making your own bouquet at their “Flower Shop” right at the front entry until you are seated! I cannot wait to go back!
If you ever need a small tropical getaway in the middle of a Seattle winter, head to the Volunteer Park conservatory. The warm air and wide variety of plants transport you to a whole new place!
The Japanese Gardens are located in the Arboretum at the University of Washington. The entry fee is $5 and you can stay as long as your heart desires! These gardens have the most beautiful fall colors I’ve ever seen! Visit in October to see the changing leaves!
Around every corner, little gems reveal themselves in the form of gorgeous windows, adorable shops, historic brick facades, and more, making you fall more in love with this eclectic neighborhood.
The sculptures outside of the science center transform the museum each night as they take on different colors.
Cities have beaches too! Head to Golden Gardens to soak up the sun on a clear day. You can watch sailboats pull in and out of the water and watch seals play near the shore. This is a perfect summer weekend activity!
If you’re looking to take a break from all of the Starbucks in this city, Citizen is the place to go! This local cafe has the most amazing breakfast menu I’ve ever had, as well as some of the best coffee. The cafe itself is very rustic with the PNW hipster feel. I absolutely love it!
This small local spot will definitely make you feel like a Seattlite!
While the Space Needle is impressive while standing in the Seattle Center, I like to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Center and appreciate the structure from afar. You can then begin to appreciate the juxtaposition of this “futuristic” structure to the other built, as well as natural surroundings.
