Why a theme?
I posted my themed Christmas tree decor on my insta-story and received some questions so I decided to write a post about it! Since we aren’t going home for Christmas this year, I wanted to take a page out of my mama’s book and decorate the tree with a color theme. When I went shopping for decorations however, I opted to take the theme to the next level and honestly I’m so obsessed and I can’t wait to do this every year. I get so giddy when I look at the tree each day – I’m so excited 🙂

Why THIS theme?
This year’s theme is Dr. Seuss-esque: a little Whoville, a little Cat in the Hat. The Grinch (Jim Carrey version) is not only my favorite Christmas movie, but my favorite movie ever. It’s my go-to at any time of the year when I need some cheering up, so my very first themed tree took on some Dr. Seuss vibes and I’m diggin it. And yes, Zack gave me the thumbs up to do this and he loves it. I cant wait to do this every year!
Wreaths:
I bought these two wreaths from Michaels and created bows from the same ribbon I used on on the tree to tie the space together.

One more thing – If you hate throwing your pumpkins away after Halloween and Thanksgiving, like me, then check out my Christmas Pumpkins post to Chistma-tize your pumpkins for the holidays 🙂
Tune in next year to see 2020’s themed Christmas tree! (But also please stop in before then as well 🙂 )
