This weekend marked 3 years since Zack and I started dating! Unfortunately we are both still recovering from being sick, so we had a night in with some dinner and Netflix! To be honest.. nights in are my favorite 🙂
Zack and I met 7 years ago on our first day of our Architecture studio. He was a bit loud, had a long mop of hair, and a baby face 🙂 He has always been a comedian; the life of a party, and he gets along with every person he meets. We became friends on our first field trip in architecture school, probably after one of his many comedic remarks ;). He has been my best friend ever since! We remained friends though 5 years of Architecture school, and in the beginning of our last year at Iowa State, we started dating! Now here we are, in Seattle, living a life so full of love, laughter, and adventure.
Dating your best friend is the easiest thing you can do. Anyone that has started a relationship with their best friend will tell you the same! You already know everything there is to know about each other, you have been with each other through good times and bad, and most importantly, you know you love their company and they make life better. If they didn’t, they wouldn’t be your best friend! Right?!
He makes me want to be a better person each and every day, and he also puts up with my terrible jokes. He calms all of my worries, no matter how irrational they are. He carries my bags when they are too heavy, even after he told me not to pack so much. He stops me from crossing the street when I forget to look both ways (every time). And most importantly, he loves me for me. I’m pretty crazy, so he puts up with a lot 🙂 I couldn’t imagine spending my life with anyone else!

This is such a sweet post! And the photos are breathtaking!
This is such a gorgeous photo shoot! Congrats to you and your boyfriend! I met my husband on the first very day of college, but it took us another 5 years to get married–but now, we’re about to celebrate 7 years of marriage (and 14 years of knowing each other!). 🙂 When you find the first person, you just know!
