My Seattle: Penelope & the Beauty Bar

I recently had the absolute pleasure of visiting Penelope & the Beauty Bar at the beautiful Fairmont Olympic Hotel! I left this gorgeous spa feeling so relaxed and a few years younger!

My experience started with a wait in the gorgeous and quite lounge before my treatments started. The lounge is painted a beautiful light hue with a crystal chandelier subtly lighting the area. Draping silk cascades down from the ceiling creating an intimate and luxurious setting.

Once in the room, Donna, explained the processes of the spa services I was going to be receiving. The Glow was first, which is 2 treatments in one. The first treatment of The Glow was an all-over detoxifying body wrap that drove out toxins within the skin and boosted circulation. Once wrapped, the bed heated up a little bit every 10 minutes until the end of the treatment which was about 50 minutes long. This wrap felt absolutely amazing and the balm that drew out the impurities left my skin feeling so hydrated and youthful. Since I am a little claustrophobic, Donna helped me remove my arms from the wrap half way through the process so I felt a little more comfortable.  I really can’t say enough great things about Donna and her service. She made this spa experience so relaxing and wonderful.

While in the wrap, Donna proceeded with the 2nd treatment of The Glow which was a non-surgical facelift using Micro-Current. Once a balm was applied to my face, Donna used a device that sent small currents through my face to decrease the small lines in my skin. I was amazed at the results after just one treatment! My laugh lines – which are very deep due to the extreme amout of laughing I do day to day 😉 – were minimized!

The next treatment was The Perfect Facial which used top of the line European products to deep clean and detoxify my skin, and the last treatment was the Cool-Lift. This process used the power of CO2 to help tighten my skin, which instantly further reduced the appearance of lines.

As I said earlier, once I left the spa, I not only felt rejuvenated, but I looked and felt a little younger!  The care of the staff and spa team, the beauty of the environment, and the quality of the products and treatments that Penelope & the Beauty Bar offers are out of this world. I can’t recommend this spa enough. If you are a local Seattleite, or just visiting the area, stop into the spa! You won’t regret it!

Thank you Penelope & the Beauty Bar for sponsoring this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

stay connected and get the latest!

That place looks gorgeous! I’ve never actually gone to a spa before but lately life has been stressing me out so I feel like I need to give it a try. I don’t live in Seattle but I have a friend there, so I’ll recommend it to him 🙂
