Fall Picnic at Sunset

Sponsored by Skyfall Vineyard – content for 21+

Fall Sunset Picnic

Fall is the most beautiful time of the year in Seattle. The colors, the air, the smells – it is just all too perfect. Normally, Fall in Seattle can be pretty short-lived, and the rainy season can start to creep in around the end of October. Fortunately for us, it has been so beautiful and warm! Our weeks have been filled with sunny days all week long with no clouds in sight. Because of this, Zack and I have been taking advantage of this perfect Fall weather and we are spending as much time as we can outside. We recently grabbed our Skyfall Vineyard Chardonnay and went to Seward Park for a Fall picnic at sunset. While there, we were met with the most picturesque scene straight out of a storybook!

Ever since moving to Washington, Zack and I have become more interested in wine. In addition to visiting the gorgeous vineyards here, we have been particularly interested in the winemaking process and try to taste each element that goes into making the wine. Normally when I think of Chardonnay, I think of a crisp Spring or Summer wine. Let me tell you – this Skyfall Vineyard Chardonnay has completely proved me wrong and is like Fall in a bottle! The Chardonnay delights with scents of toasted oak and Golden Delicious apples to flavors of apple, toasted almond, sponge cake and Meyer lemon and a hint of Navel orange. It finishes with a crisp and creamy lingering trace of vanilla.

Does that not just make you want to wrap yourself in flannel blanket and jump into a pile of crisp leaves?! The Golden Delicious apples and lingering vanilla were the most apparent to me, making me think of the apple pies I bake every Fall. If you’re looking for the perfect Fall wine, I have found it! Skyfall Vineyard Chardonnay is THE wine of the season!

Our Skyfall Vineyard wine lived up to its aspiration for others to make the most of their free time through fulfilling experiences and activities. We did just that! As Skyfall approached, that glorious time of day between daylight and darkness where have-to ends and want-to begins, we sipped on this delicious Chardonnay and watched the colors dance around Mt. Rainier. We were even greeted by some fearless and outspoken duckies!

Just like that we said goodbye to the most beautiful day with our new feathery friends by our side. Whether you’re hosting a Fall picnic at sunset, hiking through the wilderness to admire the Fall colors, or watching a movie at home, this Skyfall Vineyard Chardonnay is the perfect cherry (or apple) on top of the day!

Those are really beautiful shots. The mountain in the back doesn’t even look real.
